Sign up to use disposal services

Each and every property must have a waste disposal arrangement in place.

Detached houses, semi-detached houses and leisure homes/holiday apartments may have their own waste container or a shared container together with neighbours (joint waste collection arrangement). In non-built-up areas, property owners/holders may also sign up to utilising an area waste collection point.

For housing companies, the waste disposal agreements are managed by the building manager or the housing company’s board.

You can view the waste disposal information relating to your property in the electronic services of Puhas. You can also order new waste disposal services there.

Please contact our customer service by phone (+358 13 318 198) or by e-mail (asiakaspalvelu@puhas.fi).

Waste disposal charges

The total waste disposal fee consists of two components: firstly, the household-specific basic fee invoiced once a year, and secondly, alternatively a waste collection fee (in euros per each time a waste container is emptied and the waste removed) or an area waste collection point fee (fixed annual fee).

Sorting to be done by households

Household waste needs to be sorted into the following types: biowaste, plastic packages, carton packages, metal packages, glass packages and mixed waste. Packaging waste is also collected at ecopoints.

Additionally, pharmaceutical waste, empty batteries, discarded textiles, discarded electrical appliances and hazardous waste need to be taken to their specific collection points.
